"Sakowitz" was a high-end department store in Houston, TX. Sakowitz stocked many reputable American designers and was responsible for launching many of the now-famous European fashion designers in America - among them Courreges, YSL - Rive Gauche, Zandra Rhoades, and Givenchy, to name a few. 

This dress features boning in the bodice to create an hourglass shape. The puff sleeves, gathered skirt, and basque waistline further emphasize a small, nipped waistline.

Good condition. We have reinforced the gross-grain ribbon with liquid stitch to prevent it from fraying and preserve the garment's design for many years to come.
