Picnic Sundress (Size 3X)
A signature sundress silhouette with a princess seam bodice and circle skirt. The bodice is tailored for an ultra-fitted look that can be adjusted slightly with the corset lacing in the front: simply loosen the nylon cording to allow for a little more ease where needed. The sweetheart neckline is trimmed in cluny lace from top to bottom. The skirt is a full circle skirt shape. Skirt is finished with a double-rolled hem. Dress has an invisible zipper back closure. All edges of fabric have been overlocked for a smooth finish.
All plus-size dresses from this collection have tie-shoulder straps to be able to accommodate different torso lengths. The back panels of the bodice are also elasticized to allow for some stretch and ease of fit.
Exact fiber content of garment is unknown: We use primarily 100% cotton and cotton-poly blends, but as these are made from secondhand materials, the exact source/nature of the textiles cannot be confirmed. The bodice is lined with white cotton or a cotton-poly blend.
All fabrics used were secondhand, most being over 30+ years old and true vintage. As such these materials may have slight signs of wear or minor marks; we do our very best to cut around any areas, but it is sometimes un-avoidable.
Please refer to our size chart to determine your ideal size. Do not go by your letter size - please review the measurements provided and follow our recommendations to assess best fit.
To wash your garment, we recommend hand-washing or using the hand-wash/delicate cycle on your machine with mild detergent on a cold water setting with a low spin cycle. If you have a laundry garment bag, we recommend adding your dress to such for extra protection. We do not recommend washing other garments with your dress as to avoid agitation from other fabrics and prevent any potential color transfer onto your dress.
To store your garment, we recommend either using the hanger loops built-in to the dress or folding the garment over the hanger, leaving one half of the dress on either side of the hanger rod. Due to the weight of the design, if you were to hang the dress by its shoulder straps, over time the straps would sag and the seams connecting the dress at the bodice would begin to show quicker signs of wear. Folding your dress is also an excellent method of storage. To reduce any wrinkles, you can iron or steam to release any folds.
